Monarch Industries is a privately owned company that was founded in 1935. Monarch is a vertically integrated manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders and custom iron castings.  These products are marketed throughout North America into the retail, agricultural, industrial and original equipment manufacturer markets.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Mask and load assembled cylinders and castings onto paint lines.
  • Label and install pins and kits on painted cylinders and castings.
  • Prepare pre-packing materials.
  • Unload and package product. Prepare for shipping.
  • Produce required quality and productivity levels (efficiency & utilization).
  • Report all production accurately.
  • Handle and record all inventory accurately.
  • Complete required Total Productive Maintenance procedures daily.
  • Cross train at Assembly to:
  • Ensure proper materials and components are selected, measured, assembled and tested in build of hydraulic cylinders as per customer and ISO requirements.
  • Interpret blueprints and production documents.
  • Assist in Stores department, as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement on a daily basis.
  • Ability to work as a part of a 24 hour operation that rotates shifts on a 4 week schedule.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of work center.
  • Adheres to all Safety and Health standards.
  • Duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • High School.
  • Post-secondary or alternate course work related to manufacturing an asset.
  • Experience with understanding and interpretation of blueprints and production documents an asset.
  • Must pass Essential Skills Employment Test
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic and challenging environment by effectively organizing, prioritizing, and executing.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Capable of repeatedly lifting heavy cylinders (assisted).
  • Mechanically inclined and ability to use power tools.
  • Understand, remember, and carry out detailed instructions
  • Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods
  • Perform activities within a schedule
  • Work involves pressure to meet deadlines
  • Juggle tasks and prioritize work
  • Make simple decisions or solve straightforward problems
  • Work in a team or with others
